The trek to Satopanth takes you to the green lake of divinity. Situated at an elevation of 4400 meters above sea level, Satopanth Tal is a high altitude lake and is a hidden paradise amidst the most attractive mountain ranges of Garhwal region. The triangular lake provides an ambience of serenity and offers a majestic view of the Himalayas.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival Rishikesh

    Arrive at Haridwar Railway Station or Dehradun Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Rishikesh for check-in. Evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat in Rishikesh. Overnight stay is at the Hotel at Haridwar.

Day 2 : Rishikesh

    Morning, after breakfast, proceed for the sightseeing of Rishikesh visiting Ram Jhula, a suspension bridge on the River Ganges followed by Chaurasi Kutiya (Beatles Ashram), where Beatles visited in 1968 to know about Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and to learn meditation. Also visit, Swargashram, a place known for its ethnic touch where you can also visit Parmarth Niketan, the largest and the prominent ashram in Rishikesh. Thereafter, return back to your hotel and take some rest. Post lunch, visit Laxman Jhula, another suspension bridge on Ganga river, walk through the lanes and reach Uttra Art Gallery, an exhibition of photography, paintings and art along with local Himalayan handicrafts. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Rishikesh.

Day 3 : Rishikesh - Rudraprayag (Drive, 140 Km / Approx. 05 hrs)

    After breakfast, drive to Rudraprayag. En-route visit to Devprayag, the confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers after which the river further is known as Ganga. Continue your drive to Rudraprayag and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Named after Lord Shiva (Rudra), Rudraprayag is situated at the holy confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Rudraprayag.

Day 4 : Rudraprayag - Badrinath (Drive, 160 Km / Approx. 06 hrs)

    After breakfast, drive to Badrinath, one of the 'Four Dhams' and one of the most celebrated pilgrimage spots of the country which is situated at an elevation of 3,133 meters, guarded on either side by the two mountain ranges known as Nar & Narayan with the towering Neelkanth Peak providing a splendid backdrop. This revered spot was once carpeted with wild berries. Thus the place got the name "Badri van", meaning "forest of berries". Enroute visit Joshimath, a popular hill station situated on the slopes above the confluence of Alaknanda and Dhauliganga rivers. Joshimath is one of the four 'Maths' established by Adi Shankaracharya in 8th century. Joshimath is also the home of one of the oldest tree of India – Kalpvriksha believed to be 2400 old. On arrival at Badrinath, check-in at your hotel. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Badrinath.

Day 5 : Badrinath - Laxmivan (Trek, 08 Km)

    Morning, after darshan at Badrinath Temple, we start with the walk via Mana village, along the Alaknanda River to Laxmivan (8km). Laxmivan is a beautiful camping site with very impressive views of Neelkath and Narayan peaks. On arrival at Laxmivan, check-in at the camp. Overnight stay is at the camp in Laxmivan.

Day 6 : Laxmivan - Chakra Tirth (Trek, 09 Km)

    Post breakfast, start the trek further to Chakra Tirth camp near Satopanth glacier. Chakra Tirth camp offers picturesque views of Neelkanth, Balakun and many other named and unnamed peaks. On arrival, check-in at the camp. Rest of the day will be free at leisure or you may walk around the campsite, enjoying nature. Overnight stay is at the camp in Chakra Tirth.

Day 7 : Chakra Tirth - Satopanth Lake - Chakra Tirth (Trek, 08 Km)

    This day you will climb up the main and highest point of this trek - Satopanth Tal. Satopanth Tal is a glacial lake with spiritual values amongst Hindu pilgrims. Peoples believe that there is a way to Heaven (Nirvana) through Satopanth Tal and Mountains high above it. Reach Satopanth Tal and after spending some time exploring the fabulous surroundings and relaxing near the lakeside, return back to Chakra Tirth. Overnight stay is at the camp in Chakra Tirth.

Day 8 : Chakra Tirth - Laxmivan (Trek, 09 Km)

    Morning after breakfast, descend down back towards Laxmivan. On arrival, check-in at the camp. Rest of the day will be free at leisure. You may explore the surroundings and also witness the magnificent views of the Himalayas. Overnight stay is at the camp in Laxmivan.

Day 9 : Laxmivan - Mana (Trek, 08 Km) | Mana - Badrinath (Drive, 04 Km)

    Morning, after breakfast, check-out from the camp and trek to Mana. Mana is the last village at the Indio-/China border. Mana is inhabited by Indo-Mongolian tribes often called as Bhotias. It is being designated as a “Tourism Village” by the Uttarakhand Government. It is the one of the best tourist destination near Badrinath, just 04 km drivable distance from Badrinath Town. Visit Bhim Pul, Vyas Cave and Ganesh Cave in Mana. Later, drive to Badrinath and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Rest of the day will be free at leisure. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Badrinath.

Day 10 : Badrinath - Rudraprayag (Drive, 160 Km / Approx. 06 hrs)

    After breakfast, check-out from your hotel and drive to Rudraprayag. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Rudraprayag.

Day 11 : Rudraprayag - Haridwar (Drive, 165 Km / Approx. 06 hrs)

    After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and drive to Haridwar. En route, visit Dhari Devi, a Hindu Temple which is dedicated to Goddess Kali Mata. Continue your drive to Haridwar and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Evening, proceed for Ganga Aarti at Har-Ki-Pauri. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Haridwar.

Day 12 : Haridwar -Departure

    Morning, after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to Haridwar Railway Station / Dehradun to board the train/flight for your onward journey. ***Trip Concludes***
