Situated at an altitude of 3950 M, Dayara Bugyal is a widespread meadow, where one gets to see the lush green lands, cattle grazing around and feel the cool breeze blowing through. Bugyal in local language means the high altitude grassland meadow. Apart from the image of being the beautiful meadow, Dayara Bugyal is also known as the popular trekking destination which is visited by travellers from all over the world. The region receives heavy rainfall during the winter. This trek starts from a village called Raithal which is approx. 210 km from Rishikesh. On reaching Raithal, the hike starts to Ghuyin to Chilapada and then to Dayara Top. This whole trail is exciting where you pass through the dense forests and open land. Along the way, you will also get to see the majestic views of the snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Trek to Dayara Bugyal is a perfect choice for beginners. It is a paradise for nature lovers and photographers.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Rishikesh – Raithal (Drive, 210 Kms / Approx. 8 hrs)

    Morning, start the drive to Raithal via Moriyana Top and Uttarkashi. On arrival at Raithal, check-in at the guest house/camp. Evening, you can have a beautiful view of the sunset over the Himalayan peaks. Overnight stay is at Camp/ Guest House in Raithal.

Day 2 : Raithal – Ghuyin (Trek, 5 Kms)

    Post breakfast, start the trek early in the morning for Ghuyin. Pass through the beautiful forest rich in flora and fauna. After ascending for about 4 km, you will reach Ghuyin, a little hamlet where you will find the shepherd huts. Reach Ghuyin and after lunch, take some rest. Evening you can explore the surroundings. Overnight stay is at the Camp in Ghuyin.

Day 3 : Ghuyin – Chilapada (Trek, 3 Kms)

    Today, after breakfast you will proceed for the trek to Chilapada. It is a short hike passing through the forest. Reach the campsite at Chilapada. You can find a flowing stream next to the camping site. After lunch, you can explore the area near the campsite. Overnight stay is at Camp in Chilapada.

Day 4 : Chilapada – Dayara Top (Trek, 6 Kms) | Dayara Top – Ghuyin (Trek, 6 Kms)

    This day, you will start a bit early as you will be climbing the summit. The trail passes through few steps under forest and then opens up to vast meadows. Reach Dayara Top and spend some time there. You will get stunning views of Bandarpoonch and other peaks from here. After some rest, trek down to Ghuyin. Overnight stay is at the Camp in Ghuyin.

Day 5 : Ghuyin – Raithal (Trek, 4 Kms)

    This will be the last day of trekking. Morning after breakfast, you will descend down to Raithal. On arrival at Raithal, check-in at the Camp/Guest House. Rest of the day will be free at leisure. Overnight stay is at Camp/Guest House in Raithal.

Day 6 : Raithal – Rishikesh (Drive, 210 Kms) | Departure

    After breakfast, check-out from the Camp/Guest House and drive to Rishikesh. On arrival disperse for your onward journey. ***Tour Concludes***
