About

Valley of Flowers covers a vast expanse of 87.50 sq km with myriad alpine flowers. It is situated at an elevation of 3,658 mts above sea level. You will encounter numerous cascading waterfalls on the route to the Valley of Flowers. The valley of flowers was declared as the National Park of India in the year 1982 and it is now a world heritage site. On the other side, Hemkund Sahib is an important pilgrimage site for Sikhs and Hindus. The tenth Guru of the Sikhs, Guru Govind Singhji mediated at Hemkund Sahib for years. The word Hemkund literally suggests ‘Lake of snow’ and the immaculate water of this lake is as cold as snow. Hemkund Sahib is located at an elevation of 4,329mts above sea level amidst several snow-capped peaks, which are collectively called Hemkund Parvat.

Detailed Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Haridwar

    Arrival at Haridwar Railway Station/Dehradun Airport, meet our representative and transfer to your hotel in Haridwar for check-in. Afternoon, proceed for short sightseeing of Haridwar followed by Ganga Aarti at Har-Ki-Pauri. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Haridwar.

Day 2 : Haridwar - Birahi (Drive, 235 Kms / Approx. 9 hrs)

    Morning, after breakfast drive to Birahi, en route visiting Devprayag – the confluence of Bhagirathi and Alaknanda River. From here, the river is known as Ganga. Visit the Bathing Ghat and Raghunath Temple at Devprayag. Continue the drive for Birahi and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Birahi.

Day 3 : Birahi - Govindghat - Ghangaria (Drive, 60 Kms & Trek, 13 Kms / Approx. 6-7 hrs)

    This day, drive from Birahi to Govindghat. Enroute visit Joshimath. On arrival at Govindghat, take a local jeep till Pulna village from where the trek begins for Ghangaria. After climbing up on the trekking route reach Ghangaria and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay is at the Guest House in Ghangaria.

Day 4 : Ghangaria – Valley of Flowers – Ghangaria (Trek, 10 Kms - both ways / Approx. 5-6 hrs)

    Today morning trek from Ghangharia to Valley of flowers – A UNESCO World Heritage Site, where one can go deeper into the valley to explore it more. Bounded by the magnificent mountain ranges and glittering glaciers, this place unfolds the charisma and charm of nature at its best. After visiting the valley, return to Ghangaria. Overnight stay is at the Guest House in Ghangaria.

Day 5 : Ghangaria – Hemkund Sahib – Ghangaria (Trek, 14 Kms - both ways / Approx. 6-7 hrs)

    This day, proceed for a trek to Hemkund Sahib, an important pilgrimage destination for Sikhs and Hindus. Sikhs consider this a sacred place with one of the famous Gurudwara Shri Hemkund Sahib. There is a Hindu shrine also which is dedicated to mythological hero Lakshmana with a lake on backdrop known by the name as Lokpal Lake. After visiting Hemkund, trek back to Ghangaria. Overnight stay is at Guest House in Ghangaria.

Day 6 : Ghangaria – Govindghat – Rudraprayag (Trek, 13 Kms & Drive, 150 Kms / Approx. 8-9 hrs)

    Today, early in the morning, start the trek down for Pulna village and from here take local jeep till Govindghat. From Govindghat, drive to Rudraprayag, the confluence of Alaknanda and Mandakini River. On reaching Rudraprayag, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Rudraprayag.

Day 7 : Rudraprayag – Rishikesh (Drive, 135 Kms / Approx. 5 hrs)

    Morning, after breakfast, drive to Rishikesh. Enroute, visit Dhari Devi Temple, a Hindu Temple dedicated to Devi Kali Mata. After visiting the temple, continue the drive to Rishikesh and on arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay is at the hotel in Rishikesh.

Day 8 : Rishikesh - Departure

    Morning, after breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to Dehradun airport/Haridwar Railway Station to board the flight/train for your onward journey. ***Tour Concludes Here***
